From design to plants to installation and maintenance
At Wylye Valley Plants & Design I have brought together every aspect of Horticulture that I love. Growing and propagating plants, working with amazing clients to maintain their stunning gardens, helping new clients with consultations to help them imagine the potential of there outside space and deigning new areas for people.
The nursery
At the Nursery I grow all of our plants onsite in our large polytunnel, we then put these plants outside where they are nurtured until making there way to their final destination. Growing plants this way ensures tough and resilient plants
As gardeners we all want to do our bit to reduce and re-use our plastic waste, at the nursery we are no different, we do our best to use re used pots for our plants.
Design
We offer garden and border design as well as bespoke consultation services.

About Me
About Me
I’m Lewis, and my journey into horticulture began with a simple longing for the outdoors. Originally from Somerset, I now call the beautiful Wylye Valley home, where I live with my wife and two young children.
My career took root at the world-renowned Stourhead, where as a junior gardener I learnt the art of pruning and the intricate care of trees and shrubs. From there, I moved to The Newt in Somerset. As part of the ornamental team, I managed the hotel gardens tending to a delicate cutting gardens and expansive herbaceous borders. Most recently, I served as Senior Gardener on a prestigious private estate, where I specialized in rejuvenating complex water gardens.
With over 10 years of experience and RHS Level 2 and 3 qualifications, I combine technical expertise with a genuine passion for plants. Wylye Valley Plants is the culmination of a decade spent in some of the West Country's finest gardens, brought home to help yours flourish.
